| Ladyfish are a backcountry species that are a light tackle fisherman's dream.
Fishing for lady fish on 6 lb.test or fly will bring a smile on every angler's face young or old.
Lady fish jump high in to the air and make long screaming runs ,you will think you have something much larger on the end of your rod.
They average only 1 maybe 2 pounds and have well earned their nick-name "Poor Man's Tarpon"
Surprising enough they look like tarpon but are not related.
These are backcountry fish generally meaning shallow water and travel in large schools.
They will eat jigs popping corks, flies almost anything especially shrimp and small fish |
